Food looked and smelled great so I decided to give it a try - I’m glad I did. I had the 1/4 chicken rotisserie meal which comes with fries, fried rice, a salad, and two house made sauces. Salad was super fresh with a nice creamy dressing, chicken was flavourful and moist, fries were crisp, and even the rice was tasty. Highlight was the sauces - really complemented the chicken and fries well. The portions are generous so it’s a great value as well. It’s located in a corner of the Avenida Food Hall and Fresh Market with lots of available seating. The folks running it were warm and friendly. Highly recommended spot for Peruvian food. While I don’t have a lot of experience with this type of cuisine, what I’ve tried was delicious and I intend to come back to sample more dishes.

The papa rellena and the ceviche were amazing! It tastes so good! Even though that’s my first time to have Peruvian food! I love it!

The stuffed potato (papa rellena), the ceviche, and the tres leches weee all delicious, properly sized, and freshly made. I believe they offer an authentic Peruvian eating experience, which is incredibly tasty. The prices are a bit high, I assume due to the step fees they have to pay for the lease

Calgary needs more Peruvian restaurants. This cuisine is really good and is fairly rare here. I haven’t had a noteworthy Peruvian dish since I was in Lima. Honestly amazing.

My wife and I have been visiting this place since April 2023, and today was for a special occasion. I'll be specific with this review because this is a Peruvian food restaurant. 1- Reservation: There is no need for it, you just drop off. This place also works on Canadian holidays. 2- How to get there? We used the train, so we took the Blue Line to 3rd Street Station, then the Red Line to Canyon Meadows, and then we walked for 15 min. You will get to a big place full of restaurants from different countries, and this is right in one of the corners. 3- At the restaurant: The menu is pretty varied and prices are as expected; I'd say it is cheaper compared to other restaurants. They have a menu for meals and drinks. 4- Our order (photos attached): Dine in: I ordered 1/4 roasted chicken leg with two sides (15), and my wife a Parihuela (20). We also ordered a cup of Chicha Morada (3) and a can Inca Kola (3) to drink. 5- Rating: Overall 5/5, Place 4.5/5, Food 5/5, Service 4.5/5. a) 1/4 roasted chicken leg with two sides: the taste was really good and the portion was more than I expected (rate 5/5). b) Parihuela: taste was good, and portion was good (rate 4.5/5). Recommendations: a) For the customers: find a table before purchasing your meal. b) For the restaurant: serve one more round of sauces for free, we will appreciate it! Finally, I would like to recommend this place to everyone in Calgary and Canada! Please feel free to ask if you have any concerns.

I recommend this restaurant. We ordered Lomo Saltado, Arroz Chaufa, papa rellena and tres leches dessert. Flavours are so delicious, the food is fresh and the size is perfect. It is a little pricey but it is worthy ...

We have visited Sabor a Peru several times in the last 2 years. Even though the place is not very comfortable and there isn't much service, food is mind-blowing. Ceviche, Leche de Tigre and Lomo Saltado are delicious I love the consistency, flavours are always there and the variety is fantastic. We will keep coming to keep trying more and more dishes. One of our favourite places in Calgary.

We wanted to try Peruvian food so we gave these guys a try. In a word, WOW! Fresh, delicious and well prepared, I had no idea what I’d been missing. We ordered the papa rellena, the causa de pollo and a chichi morado to wash it all down. Excellent. Well priced too. It’s in the Avenida Food Market which adds to the atmosphere.
